I've on these situations many times, so, I really don't believe that a secret can't be revealed by your friend when you fight. As for myself, I can control my thoughts and shut my lips but I am not who my friends are. Actually, those whom I believe that can keep secrets are those people, not necessary friends, whom have been in your situations because they understand how you have felt, reacted, carry-on, survived and be the person of you today.
On my opinion, better keep a secret with you alone.
